Pack & Ship Module

Pack, rate-shop, ship. No second system.

Pack and ship with live carrier rates for Acumatica.

Volumetric carton suggestion, concurrent packer locking, live rates from your own carrier accounts, and ConfirmShipment posted to Acumatica as it leaves the dock.

The problem

Three systems, two re-keys, and one record nobody trusts.

The order is picked. Now someone packs it in the WMS, retypes the weight into the carrier's website, retypes the tracking number into Acumatica, and sticks a label on a box using a printer chosen from a dropdown.

Three systems, two re-keys, and the only record of what actually shipped is the one somebody remembered to type.

Illustrative only. A suggested carton confirmed at the bench and its label auto-printed, rate shopping returning options after the routing rules narrowed the carrier, and ConfirmShipment releasing the shipment in Acumatica with tracking attached. Document numbers are examples, not a customer's.

At the pack bench

The right box, claimed by one packer.

Volumetric carton suggestion

WMSi recommends the right box for what is actually being packed. The packer confirms or overrides. No guessing, no rewrapping.

Concurrent packer locking

Batch bin claiming uses row-level locking, so several packers work the same batch at once and two of them never pull the same order.

Carton label auto-print

Confirming the pack fires the carton label to the bench printer. No manual print step, no forgotten label.

How the label reaches the right printer

At the ship station

Rules first, then rates.

  • Carrier routing rules first Rules on order total, weight, carton count, destination state, ZIP prefix or customer pick the carrier before rate shopping starts.
  • Live rate shopping WMSi fetches live rates across every connected carrier account and shows the top three — cheapest, fastest, best value. One tap buys the label.
  • The label fires itself The purchased label goes straight to the ship station printer, and the ZPL is stored on the ShipRecord so a reprint is exact. No separate shipping application.
Rate provider and carriers

Carrier labels arrive as raw ZPL from ShipEngine or EasyPost and dispatch through the same print pipeline untouched. ShipEngine is the primary rate provider, with EasyPost as well — all major carriers are supported through both. Carrier accounts are customer-owned and customer-managed, so rates come from your own negotiated accounts.

Into Acumatica

Nothing about shipping gets re-keyed.

Package transmission

Packed carton contents and tracking numbers are written directly to the Acumatica Shipment document. Nothing is re-entered.

ConfirmShipment

WMSi posts shipped quantities, package contents and tracking numbers, then calls ConfirmShipment — fully releasing the shipment in the ERP.

WMSi writes package contents and tracking numbers onto the Acumatica Shipment document and then calls ConfirmShipment, so the shipment is released in Acumatica at the moment the truck leaves rather than at the end of someone's data-entry shift. If the post is retried after a network interruption, ExternalRef prevents a duplicate. See the integration architecture.

On the record

The recall record your customer will ask for.

Lot traceability at ship

Every ShipLine records lot number, quantity shipped and expiry date, per product, per order. For food, pharma and chemical operations that is the recall record your customer will ask for — answerable in seconds, not days.

What your auditor asks for

Both workflows, no reconfiguration

Simple orders run pick-to-ship and skip packing entirely. Complex orders run a full pack session first. The scanner handles both.

Where the order arrives from

LTL and freight rate shopping are not currently supported, and neither are international customs documents.

Get started

Twenty minutes, a live pack workflow, real rate shopping.

And a real Acumatica confirmation at the end of it. We sell through Acumatica VARs — tell us how your floor runs and we will introduce you to the right partner.
