The problem

Sixty kits are built and boxed by mid-morning.

Not one of them can ship until the last of the four hundred is finished and someone closes the order.

Component quantities get worked out on a clipboard, staging either runs dry or buries the aisle, and when two benches work the same run nobody can say afterwards which bench built what. The kits exist; the ERP doesn't know yet.

The scanner is told how many kits to stage and works the bill of materials out itself; a station transfers sixty finished kits without the order closing, which posts and releases an Acumatica Assembly Order; Top Off then works out what staging is missing and sends pickers to refill it. Building without waiting

Partial kit transfers

Finished kits move to warehouse inventory in any quantity, any time. The order doesn't have to be complete.

Pick for N kits

Tell the scanner how many kits to stage. WMSi does the BOM maths and directs every component pick.

Top off staging

Set the staging level once. After each batch, Top Off works out what's missing and sends pickers to refill.

Staging locations build themselves

Component and finished-goods staging locations are created per kit order on first scanner access. No setup.

Multiple stations, fully attributed

Per-station tracking

Any number of stations work a shared component pool, each tracked independently. Acumatica has no native equivalent.

Attribution across stations

A transfer covering work from several stations distributes the Assembly Order across each contributing station session.

FEFO component consumption

Recording finished kits consumes components by first-expiry-first-out automatically. No manual BOM maths, no over-consumption.

In Acumatica

What posts, and when.

Each transfer from assembly staging posts and releases a Kit Assembly Order in Acumatica immediately, at the correct warehouse location, so finished kits are sellable ERP inventory within seconds of leaving the bench rather than at the end of the run.

When a sales order contains a non-stock kit, WMSi expands it into individual component pick lines for the floor and collapses them back to the kit line when it transmits to Acumatica — pickers see components and locations, Acumatica sees the kit.

Per-station attribution has no native counterpart in Acumatica; WMSi carries it and distributes it across the Assembly Orders it posts.
